SW 2016 poor performance on Win 10

Anybody else seeing shockley clunky performance with SW2016 & W10?

Just upgraded machine, OS & SW from Win7 & SW2014

Gotta say SW2014 on a Win7 machine was far FAR superior perfomancewise. Smooth 3D navigation, no pauses between clicking icons & action being taken.

Now I have to wait a second or so for every step made.

Terrible step backwards.

I also upgraded my machines from Win7 to 10 and am currently on SWX2016 with no performance problems. I highly recommend you install the most recent approved graphics drivers. On my home computer when I made this same OS upgrade I had a terrible problem even though everything appeared fine. SWX would not run! NOTHING looked like a graphics driver issue, but my VAR tipped me off about this. Sure enough, though the upgrade from Win7 to 10 was amazingly smooth and easy, it turned out there was a different graphics driver for Win10 vs. 7. When I installed that everything was fine.

No guarantees, but it is worth a shot.

Looks like it was the NVIDIA drivers.

Have been having an affair with AutoDesk Inventor in the mean time which is running with no problem whatsoever... shhh dont tell anyone...

If you are going to look at other systems you should definitely look at Onshape.
