Hi all,

I'm in the process of performing a number of SW Performance Benchmark test in an attempt to optimize performance and stability within our organization. I find the question that is most difficult to answer in all this is "What level of performance / stability is reasonable to expect from SW?" For the most part, the terms "fast" and "slow" are pretty much subjective unless you have a standard or baseline for guidance.

I have some benchmarks that I have performed with competing software, but it's difficult at best to perform an "apples to apples" test between platforms.

Does anyone know of any websites or resources that can provide some guidelines on performance benchmarking? I've contacted my VAR with no positive results at all on this topic. I would think SW should be able to provide some data on performance results as tested with specs on their end. I understand there are a great deal of variables, but having a place to start would be nice.

Thanks in advance.
