SW05: Can't Copy Sweep Feature?

For those still lucky enough to be on SW05, have you ever tried to copy a Sweep feature to another face? It's not working for me. Looking for tips.

I will have access to SW05 this Sunday. Can you be more specific or maybe post an image to show what you are trying to do?

DO you mean copying the Helix starting-circle-sketch?

Well I can move a sweep in SW07 but I can't copy one. So I doubt it can be copied in SW05. You should be able to copy the individual sketches though.

Yup, that's what I had to do, copy the sketch and rotate it. This was for a steel cable that I had drawn with a 3D Sketch, and it needed eyelets/loops at both ends.

In SW2007, if you make the cable and loops as multi-bodies, you are able to mirror or pattern the loop body and then use the mates function in the Move/Copy Bodies tool to position it.

Another reason for your company to upgrade? [wink]

... or you could create an end loop as a Library Feature and just drop it onto the end(s) of the cable.
