I have assemblies that are immersed in liquid and am having trouble finding out what volume of liquid the assembly displaces. Tha analysis command just gives the volume of the solid material protruded or revolved which is not the same thing. Is there an automatic way to determine to swept volume of an assembly???

The problem is that the parts in the assy are not solid. If I make a tin can for instance the volume given by the mass prop command is the volume of the mass of the wall thickness and the 2 ends which is different from the volume of liquid displaced when immersed.

You could possibly create another part in your assembly using Published Geometry from the Can and Lid of the interior surfaces and create a closed volume and a Solid protrusion with Use Quilt.

Then you can have an Assembly rep that includes the inside solid geometry which would give you the displaced volume including the interior volume of the can.
