I have setted to OFF the following switch:
File Utilities/Customes Defaults/Assembies/General/Work Part/Maintain Work Part
And I was looking to get the work part to be the displayed part when I go back from a component to the top level of my assembly.
But it doesn't work and my component remain the work part.
This problem exist in NX5 to NX7.5
Any Idea ?
Thanks in advance

Note that this Customer Default setting, which is like many others, ONLY controls what the initial out-of-the-box default for this setting will be. Once you start to use NX, the user can override this setting within his own personal user invironment by going to...

Preferences -> Assemblies...

...and the 'value' of that setting will then be retained by the system registy.

So what you need to do is to go to the above dialog and check the status of the 'Maintain' option which you will find there.

Hi John,

Thanks for your good and rapid answer (one more time)

Until NX7.5, This switch and many others aren't well explained in the Tool Tips.

Siemens start to do this in NX7.5. with the following text:

(The corresponding preference option to this customer default has its value stored in the user's registry. This default value therefore only influences the initial value for this setting)

The registry action had disrupted me and without your explanation, I will never be able to understand
