Greetings,

Would anyone know of a standard for the installation, specifically height, of a ground bar for a switchgear or control building in an industrial scenario?

thank you.

There is no standard...use your best judgement.

Dear Mr. Sn00ze

" Would anyone know of a standard for the installation, specifically height, of a ground bar for a switchgear or control building in an industrial scenario?"
I am of the opinion that:
a) In Europe, where IEC prevailed, the references are IEC61439-x , IEC60364-x-xx, BS 7671 etc.,
b) In USA, NFPA 70 (NEC), NEMA, NIST, ANSI, UL etc.,
they each publishes documents as recommendation/regulation/standards or "Law"; applicable in their respective locations.
Having said that, there seems to be NO mention of "specifically height" requirement; as you see them as low as say 50mm attaching at the bottom of the switchboard or say 300mm above the floor level in the switch-room etc.
I agreed with the opinion posted by learned Mr.mparenteau
" There is no standard...use your best judgement". I would like to add [taking easy accessibility and convenient for termination] into consideration.
