Switchgear Maintenance 2

What is the standard and referrence for existing panelboard and switchgear electrical testing & maintenance? What is the desired interval for this maintenance? I have searched Manufacturers, NFPA, NEC, Nema and found little instruction yet, I am certain there must be an authority with multiple written sources of information on the subject.

the bible to testing specifications is most definatley NETA (international electrical testing association)

They have 2 books that tell you how to test everything.

the two books I go buy are the "Acceptance Testing Specifications" - for brand new equipment

"Maintenance Testing Specifications"- routine testing on existing equipment

The typical standard for maintance is once every 1-2 years.

Also, from the NETA standard, depending on the reliability of the system and it's age/condition will also determine frequency of maintenance.

The numbers in the columns are the multiplication factors to apply to typical maintenance frequencies.
