switching a plc with a computer

Hi, I need to switch a plc input by means of a computer. What hardware do I need to do this?
We will be using a Exel program a KM easy 412 plc.
We are trying to do booking of squash lights on the computer and physical switching of the lights is done by the plc

Presumably, the PLC comes with some sort of data interface like CAN or even RS-232.
