Symmetry part not showing in drawing

Hi there,

I have a problem of a symmetry part not completely showing up in my drawing. Only the first part body in its tree is shown. Nothing else is coming through.

It might be a memory problem because I am getting out of memory warnings from CATIA. Is it possible to create drawings without loading the parts? I open the assy in Cache mode, but when I generate the view, it loads all my parts then I get the memory error.

Any ideas?

Some more information;

When I isolate the part (so it looses its symmetry link), it appears in my drawing. So for now this is what I'm doing, but would like like to know the root cause of this problem.

for the memory problem go 64bit...

Some queston about the symmetry:
is it inside defined in a single body part? on a multi body part (is it the main body or another one)? is it define ay the assembly level?

It a multi body part. When I bring it into the drawing, only the first body comes through.

It is a symmetry part defined as an assembly feature.

I find most of these types of problems are about what you have defined as the in work object. It gets me all the time.

That shouldn't be an issue, its in a drawing. Everything is showing correctly in the 3D model so its not a case of having the in work object set wrong.

Its not a massive problem for me now since I just broke all the external links in the offending part and it works. Luckily I dont need the links but its still a really wierd problem and would be really annoying if I did actually need the symmetry links to remain.
