why do we design a T beam and where do we use(other than bridges),(advantage of T beam over simple beam)

In concrete construction, we'll use a T-beam whenever there is an integral slab for us to exploit. Utilizing T-beam action pushes the neutral axis further from the tension reinforcement and, thus, increases the effectiveness of the tension reinforcement.
