Tab stop key not functioning on Solidworks

Hello all,

I want to align my text in Solidworks. This simple thing for for example (with the dots being the space) :

Text1................Text1
Text2................Text2

Instead I am getting something like this :

Text1.............Text1
Text2..............Text2

The tab stop keyboard button does not work on Solidworks. Any ideas ?

I think this is more of a Font issue and not the TAB key. I get this problem in Word and notepad occasionally as well.
