Is there a Table II-A or Table III in any AISC manual that gives standard beam connections? I'm reviewing a spec and Table II-A or Table III are referred to repeatedly but I can't find them in my 14th edition steel construction manual.

In the 9th edition Manual of Steel Construction (the green one), Table II-A deals with bolts in clip angle connections, and Table III deals with welds at clip angle connections. That manual came out in 1989. The specification you're looking at probably hasn't been reviewed since then.

The "equivalent" tables in the 14th edition AISC Steel Construction Manual are Table 10-1 and 10-2. I use the term "equivalent" loosely since design methodologies and material strengths have changed, in some cases, since the 9th edition Manual was published in 1989. I agree with Nutte that the specification in question is certainly out-of-date with its references, unless you are purposefully reviewing an 'old' specification.

Thank you very much, this old spec calls out Table II-A or Table III as standard connections. It looks like tables 10-1 and 10-2 are only two specific connections types. It's time to pull this out of the spec.
