Tabular Data to Excel

I always copy and paste tabular data from Ansys Mechanical into Excel
Copying an entire table from Ansys and select a single cell in Excel (not "in" the cell), then hit paste and -bam- each cell is populated correctly

Now, for some reason, when I copy and paste all the values are going into one single cell as a text string.
I have tried restarting everything but still the issue persists.
I must have messed up an Excel or Ansys setting.
I want to copy and paste again.

That is odd. Could it work by right clicking and pasting as values? I think the problem is not in
Ansys.

In Excel, try Data Tab>text-to-column, delimited, check all that applies.

Best regards,
Jason

thank guys.
I fixed it.
It was Excel, not Ansys
Went to control panel>uninstall programs -- then right click on Microsoft office -- then clicked repair program.
That reset all office programs to default settings. Then I restarted and was ok

I'm sure it is an Excel problem, but there must be an easier way than going through the repair program procedure. I couldn't find anything though, either in the Options menus, or from a quick search on-line. I vaguely remember having the same problem some time ago (from a different FEA program), but it just went away.

Anyone else have a quick solution, not requiring re-setting everything?

I've noticed that when cutting and pasting text format into Excel it often seems to have some sort of memory. Personally I'd rather it behaved as in the OP, and leave the user to explicitly request text to columns.

Cheers
