I am trying to model a tangential nozzle on a conical transition as shown on the attached snippet. I can do this easily on a cylindrical shell, but it doesn't seem to have the option on a cone. Can someone confirm if the software can or cannot do this?

How would you approach doing nozzle/shell check at that location?

sorry about the delay, got crazy busy.

If you are talking about the smaller nozzles on the cone (D1 & D2 I believe), then I would figure out the developed opening size and hope it is exempt from area replacement. If not, then you could create a nozzle with the ID of the developed opening.

OR, since nozzle A has a developed opening greater than 2:1, and you will be doing an FEA, just do one for the cone nozzles too.
