Tapping Connection for Vent line for cold vent stack 5

Please clarify whether if any design issue will happen if connect the branch vent line as a side tapping connection to the vent header.The vent header will connect to the cold vent stack. Is any requirement that the vent connection shall be only from top tapping.

Nothing is wrong to have the branch be connected on either top or side of the header. However, from the piping layout point of view, the "side" tapping connection will take too much space and is usually impractical as several pipes running together, such as on the pipe rack.

Venting product is natural gas.Due to the support height we are planning to have side tapping.Here there is no restriction of space but the product is gas.Here it connected to cold vent stack.
Also i noticed that for flare header line tapping are from top at 45 degree.Can u please clarify the reason for the 45 degree top tapping.

It simply a case of "Flow Dynamics", this will exist in both liquid and vapor flows.
You see it in residential home plumbing systems all the time.
You will also see it in both, large and smell Flare collection systems in refineries.
The 45 degree (branch to main line entry) connection tends to help the potential coincident flow in both the branch line and the main line to coexist. It also reduces the possibility of back floe restriction or blockage of the main line.


Sometimes its possible to do all the right things and still get bad results
 
It's common practice that many project standards specifies vent lines at top or 45 degrees but NOT at 90 degrees. Vent lines are supposed to be free of blockage at all times. Keeping it at top/45 degrees will keep it free from condensate/hydrates for air/gas service. Like gravity flow drain lines, flare header is also sloped. Putting vent lines at top/45 degrees will also give it a natural drain off of any condensate/hydrates/liquid from the vent lines.
