hi guys, is there such a case as converting TEFC to explosion proof motor enclosure?
If so, how this would affects the machines performance and the provisions of motor standards? Any help?

Thanks

One of the fundamental aspects of an ex-proof motor is a more robust housing and tighter tolerance, longer engagement fits between the end bells and stator motor housing. "Conversion" does not seem possible, unless you change out the entire housing, which is likely far from practical.

What is your Hazardous location. I was surprised to find out that NEC allows even open frame for Class 1 Div 2
You may need to change the fan blade if it's steel to avoid sparks there.
