How could I generate a material wich is temperature dependent.
I have tried on several tests the temperature dependent material, but it seems it is not working correctly. Could anybody send me a NEU file which is correct?

BR,

Irwin

Dear Irwin,
Simply you need to know in advance the dependency of "each" mnaterial property with temperature (say EX, NUXY, etc..), this is the complex task, if you know this data you can choose to define the full value in the function curve or use the function curve as a multiplier of the nominal value of property.

You mentioned the format *.NEU, then I understand you are using FEMAP & NX NASTRAN: in this case, if you define the full relation between EX vs. Temperature using a function you can enter this function diectly in the field of YOUNG MODULES using Ctr-F and selecting the proper function in the pop-up window.

Alternatively, you can select the function in the tab FUNCTION REFERENCES

Best regards,
Blas.
