Temperature limit of ASME Section VIII Division 1 1

My question is there any upper temperature limit up to which ASME section viii division 1 can be applied. or there is no such limit

Waqas-999, no upper temp limit as such in Sec VIII, Div 1, but rather upper temperature limits for materials as shown in Sec II, Part D.

The highest you can (currently) go is 982 deg C or 1800 deg F.

It’s from ASME IID, where the tables list the max temperature for the material under consideration, per the applicable design Code (column wise). Look e.g. for UNS N06617.
