Hi everyone,

I ve got some problem about combustion. I would to know if it possible, if so then have some advices !

I ve got the air mass flow, and the outlet combustion chamber temperature, with that I would like to know the fuel mass flow I should have.
Can I have some help about that please :)

thanks

You will need to solve a heat balance equation, and must include the heat loss thru the wall of the combustion chamber and also the radiant heat loss to the exit plane of the chamber. You will need to assume a combustion process efficiency as well.

If you install a thermocouple to directly measure the exhaust temperature, then you will need to correct that reading for the radiant heat loss from the thermocouple to the surrounding casing and exit plane.

Thank you

Actually i did a heat balance equation and solve it, so i have some results but i did not take in account the heat loss thru the wall and the radiant heat loss to the exit plane of the chamber. And here my efficiency is 1.
But this is just a little model to simulate a solar gas turbine, and to know the mass flow of gas i need in function of the solar energy.
