HI
I have a question.
in every static general step dose temperature change automatical synchronic with changing of stress and strain.
Or we must activate it with activating any tool or add any instruction.
in fact I want to have changing of temperature synchronic in a static general step synchronic.(for composite material)
How can I?

May be you could do better by actually describing in detail what you are trying to analyze. Better still Abaqus has very good manuals that tell you how you can include temperature in your analysis. Is your analysis a coupled thermal-displacement analysis type or ?

"..in every static general step dose temperature change automatical synchronic with changing of stress and strain.." I find this comment amusing to say the least!! :)... Again Abaqus Users Manual give you much insight into how temperature/temperature gradients at nodes and accross elements is computed during analysis.

thank for your answer.
yes I explain my mean morethan this to understand better:
In fact my questin:
I want to write a code of umat that in it I need to use TEMP and DTEMP.
I want to know how can I activate these terms (TEMP & DTEMP)in cae file or in umat code .
i think they are inactive because when i wrote a umat code and added this instructino:(write(6,*),temp ,dtemp) then run with its abaqus cae file ,at the end ,when i checked the value of them in temp file of C drive
I saw the value of both of them were zero (0) but(while) I need and expect that they get value .
now what is the suggest of you for solve this problem?
It is worth noting that I want to use this code for analysis composite structure.
