Temporary Construction Loading Factors in Canada (Specifically Craning manufactured homes)

I have a question about temporary construction loads in Canada.

I am working on a manufactured house project. The house is basically in two rectangular boxes that will be craned onto the foundation on site. The house is under 48' long and I'm told the home will be craned by two straps (each will wrap around the box) at 1/3 points. The loading is very temporary (a matter of minutes). When they determine the location and number of pick points is there a factor that is used to account for the short term loading?

Thanks for any information.

I think not that I'm aware of. I did a project years ago where 6 units were built locally where I am, and then trucked 1400 km to Calgary and craned into place, 2 stacks of 3 units. Took one day to crane them in place. Can you imagine how crazy it would have been to leave for work in the morning and there's only a foundation, come home from work and there's a 3 storey building in place?

Anyway, when we did that project, we just left it up to the manufacturer since they had significant experience with this type of construction and so we made sure the units were structurally sound in their as constructed condition (i.e. in place in Calgary) but left any sort of lifting design to the supplier. If my memory serves me correctly, there was nothing special done to accommodate in the manufactured units themselves.
