Dear #EdStainless

Heated to 1175° C, soaked for 2 Hrs, Water Quenched. Stabilizing to 970° C, soaked for 4 Hrs, Forced air cooled.

As per SA-494 Clause 6 Note-1, heat treatment at higher temperature may be required.
 
I am not a metallurgist. Please talk to your metallurgist whether the temperature can be increased.
 
My personal suggestion is;
Homogenize at 2200-2250F for 4-5 hours, cool to RT, then anneal at 2150-2175 and water quench.
Check the micro, and then stabilize, and check micro again.

This is the micro structure after heating to 2210 F, cool to RT, annealed at 2150 F and water quench. Stabilizing at what temp will help me get results in this material?
