Is there a required temperature range for conducting tension testing of metallic materials per ASTM E8 and if so, where is it listed?

ASTM E8 tension testing is performed at room temperature, as measured. ASTM E21 is for elevated temperature tensile testing of metallic materials.
 
Thank you metengr for your response. What I meant to ask was if the room temp should be controlled within a min and max for test data repeatability and reproducibility.

No, this is not really required. I would just record the temperature at the time of the test, only.
 
The scope (first section on the first page) of ASTM E 8 and E 8M state that room temperature shall be considered to be 50 to 100 [°]F or 10 to 38 [°]C unless otherwise specified
 
For most common alloys strain rate is a bigger deal than ambient temp. The only time to watch out is if you are dealing with alloys that have low ductility and DBT near room temp.

It's interesting, then, that ASTM E23 (impact testing) considers room temperature to be 20C plus/minus 5.
