Hello

I've majored in mechanical engineering and I've no idea with IC circuit and electrical things. Could anyone help me to solve some problems? Here is my question.

-. How can I determine the test specification criteria of power (VDD / GND) pin? I know IO pins could be 0.1 ~ 0.85V spec due to the upper / lower diode characteristics but how about power pin? And are they also have diode or resistor?

I don't understand what test you think you're trying to do. Vdd/Vss are power pins, not signal, so your statement about IO pins is irrelevant.

Is this for school?

Thank you for the reply!

I'm trying to test assemled IC package and want to find out every pins(solder bumps) are connected with sillicon die and ckech out the any electrical defect of PCB.

I saw many instructions(or books, documents) of continuity test for IO pins. They said IO pin continuity test spec criteria could be 0.1 ~ 0.85V with 0.1mA current forcing.

And my question is, what about the continuity test of power pin?

I'm failing to see the utility of such testing. Power pins at anything other than operational voltage have no meaning. IO pins unpowered are simply measuring input protection diodes, which are not even part of the functional circuitry. If you want to confirm functionality, then you should test functionality.
