Hi,

Am struggling with deciding the best way to create double start custom threads on NX? More specifically, are any additional features in NX10 to help the cause?

The method I know of is using two helices at a 180 phase difference and sweeping of the custom thread profiles. Any faster/better alternatives using the default thread creating tools in NX?

This is how I would do. I gave some metric values. Hope you will get the idea.

Nope. Helix is only solution for detailed double start thread. Just do not use two helix, use one and make pattern feature with circular 180 degrees pattern. that way you have to make changes on one profile if you need to edit.

IvenNX,
Do you see any difference in my model vs. your explanation?

Sorry MFDO I was not in the office, had no NX to open your file.
Do you want me to delete my comment?

Not at all IvanNX. I just thought that you may have seen something I missed.

Oh, I think "Nope." at start of my answer made it confusing. That was answer to "Any faster/better alternatives using the default thread creating tools in NX?" from original post.
Anyway MFDO it is nice from you that you took some time to make example.
