The Class-A question !

Hi all,

I'm looking for a Mcad that can do Class-A surface and has a reasonable price.
Is Solid edge a Class-A surfacing modeler ?
I have look at the x-form in NX is this feature included in SE or is BlueDot the same, equivalent ?

Anyone as experience in working with class-A with SE, how was the experience !?

It all depends on what class A means to you. You will just have to try it and see if it can do what you want. It doesn't have the tools that a package like Alias or Imageware does for automotive "Class A".

The cheapest way to get there for most folks is Rhino.

The surfacing in SE is quite limited and tends to slow down when the surface gets complex.
I suspect you will have to look at NX, Catia or Pro/E but they aren't cheap.
Other than that I think its Rhino, as HDS says.
