Hello,
I'm looking for the density of A387 in ASTM A387/A20 (M) as well but i can not find that information.
From google, i found that density: 7.7-8.03 g/cm3 (0.278-0.290 lb/in3). Could you please teach me where can i find that information in a document or reference?
It would be helpful for me in purchasing.

As A387 can contain anywhere between 0.5%-9.0% chromium - and even individual grades have some wiggle room (e.g., grade 22 can contain between 2-2.5% chromium) - it's not surprising that the references you're finding are providing a range for the density instead of a single value. The vendor you buy from may be able to give you a more concrete value, but you may just have to work with some degree of uncertainty in your design.

 
Ask the supplier for the shipping weight.
I strongly suspect that after all of the agonizing we will find that the shipment isn't actually weighed, but the stated shipping weight is determined by the supplier by applying a standard factor.
They may err on the heavy side.
The cost of shipping a few percent less than the maximum allowable GVW is a pittance compared to the fines and lost time of getting caught shipping a few percent more than the max GVW.
Scale operators may hold an overloaded truck until another truck arrives to take part of the load and bring the weight down to the legal limit.
I know of some extreme cases of trucks having to remove some of their load.

How accurately do you need to know this stuff? I have memorised the density of steel as 0.286lb/in[sup]3[/sup], which works out to 7900kg/m[sup]3[/sup]. The standard online reference for materials is MatWeb.com.
