The NoBo changed classification

Hello people,

Are there some kind of reason the NoBo wants to change my classification
acc. PED 2014/68/UE for vessel pressure (medium: liquid, danger (flameable); V=50000l; design pressure: 3bar).
My result was Module A, named like: Internal Production Control, I marked CE but without NoBo in this case.
I know the last word belong to they but I would to know whether they can require change to higher module D?
Can I disagree with this at all? If I prepare classification correct then can they made a change?

Not that Im aware of. You, as manufacturer are allowed to do that; when you have to use module A, you can always go for a higher module, but never the other way around (AND, youre not allowed to affix CE when the item under consideration does not fall into any of the 4 categories, because technically you use module G for an item falling under "Sound Engineering Practice").

No and no:
1. They dont have the last word, they can make mistakes. You should always check their work, theyre humans as well.
2. And they cant require you to use a higher module just like that.

Yes and no.

Just make sure youre both speaking the same language; are you sure you both have used the same classification when it comes to your fluid? What are the details of the medium wrt contents, design pressure & temperature, etc.?

The thing is the medium come from China
and it is some difficulty, because in our market it is doesn't exist.
i have a meeting tomorrow with NoBo and we will talk
but I must prepare myself in order to don't make a misstake.

Conformityassesmentprocedure is always choosen by manufacturer. A nobo that states you must follow procedure D is just wrong but as stated by XL83 they are only human... the only thing they can say is that the category is incorrect.

Exactly. As per my previous question, we still have no info to determine of the correct category has been determined. That could help to take away any uncertainties in this matter.

Hello,
vapor pressure for this medium in designed temp. for vessel presure are lower than 0,5 bar in designed temp. (confirmed by supplier).
So base on NoBo will not make any changes.
However without comfirmed vapor pressure for this medium it's very likely that they would have still reguired change the module.

You still haven’t provided us sufficient information to determine the applicable table and category.

Strange story this... The NOBO is not involved in the determination of the design pressure, and when it is determined, I don't understand what the discussion is about.
Module of higher category = OK , Module of a lower category = not acceptable.
Also important, PS<=0.5 = PED not applicable.
