Hi Expert,

I am wondering if there is a such word "rebars" with S. Example 5 pcs of rebar or 5 pcs of reinforcing bars
not 5 pcs of rebars. Correct me if I am wrong. I asked this because I want to make sure that our warning dialog (in the software) is gramatically correct.
Thank you in advance

rebar is sort of a slang reference for reinforcing bars. Typically, you would not say rebar in a formal note and would likely reference it as reinforcing or just bars.

rebar is just a slang/short word for the full term reinforcing bars

rebars will be understood. You're good. That's what's most important in language. It doesn't necessarily have to be in Webster's to use it.

Just like the word "texting". It wasn't a word before, but it sure is now.
