Hi,
I am a beginner in using Abaqus. I need to model a heat generation at the interface of two parts, but it cannot be defined as a fraction of dissipated energy (in an interaction property)! The boundary condition at the contact interface is:
k1*dT1/dx - k2*dT2/dx = Q
where k1 and k2 are the thermal conductivities of part 1 and 2, respectively, T is the temperature, x is the axis orthogonal to the interface, and Q is the contact heat density generated at the interface which is a constant value.
Furthermore, what element type I should consider for a laminated composite material (with several plies) in a heat transfer analysis. I encountered errors with any heat transfer element type.
Thank you very much.
