Thermal Strips

I have heard that to determine areas of hot spots in areas where IR cameras cannot be located, there is a type of thermal tape. Does anyone know the name of it and some manufacturers of the tape? Areas of application are on circuit breakers which are racked into the cubical - on the circuit breaker contacts and on the cubical contacts.
