Thermodynamical loss angle

Hello,

I am looking for the following article :
Hohenberg
"Definition und Eigenschaften des thermodynamischen Verlustwinkels von Kolbenmaschinen"
Automobil Industrie 4/76

Does anybody have it ?

Otherwise, does anybody know how it is possible to assess the thermodynamical loss angle of an engine ?

Thank you in advance.

Since you call yourself MOTOREN and not MOTORS, I guess you might be German, and English your second or third language. I just got a few search engine hits by putting in
"thermodynamic loss angle" and not thermodynamicAAALLL!

In English the title is:

"Definition and characteristics of the thermodynamic loss angle of piston engines"

(from Babel translator)

I have no idea what they are talking about, but would be interested in what the "thermodynamic loss angle" is.

Hello,

OK, I will try to improve the way I express myself....

In a testbed with a dyno it is possible to drive the engine.
(without combustion).

If the engine is equipped with cylinder pressure sensors, you may then be able to record the pression in the combustion chambers.

If you observe these curves you will then notice that the maximum pressure does not take place at TDC, but a few 0,1° before.
The difference between this angle and TDC is called thermodynamic loss angle.

Hohenberg in the paper I mentionned before give somes relationships between the thermodynamic loss angle of an engine and the heat transfer and blowby losses.

I am interested in finding out what are these relationships and how he derived them.

Thank you in advance
