Hi everyone
I want to model the thermoplastic material corian in abaqus.
Could someone help me to input the material properties, as it is a thermoplastic material ?

Thank you very much

There are several material models in Abaqus that can be used for thermoplastics. Their choice depends on the type and magnitude of loading, analysis procedure and desired response. The easiest and the most common approach is to use regular elastoplastic material. But for large strains, you should switch to hyperelasticity while for the inclusion of viscous effects you should use viscoelasticity. In some cases, creep and stress relaxation might also be important and then you need to define material properties related to those effects.

Thank you for your answer.
I want to model the thermoforming of a part by using mold and counter mold.
The desired result is to examine the geometry of the part after the thermoforming process.
Could you provide me with an example of the values for creep and viscoelasticity ?

Thank you for your help

Check the article "Simulating the thermoforming process with Abaqus" on Simuleon’s blog. For properties such as creep or viscoelasticity you will need to perform physical testing on your own or search for research paper in which this or similar material is described.
