Greetings all!

A little background information on myself. I graduated in 2003 in chemical engineering and took a year off. I've been searching for a job since december of last year and to this day, haven't found one. I do have industry experience in qc positions and chem. eng assistant positions obtained through co-op.

A mentor of mine suggested taking certificate courses to add to my degree.

I remember a professor of mine mentioning validation during my sophomore year. My question is, how would I go about getting into validation? Any specific (titled) courses that you may suggest? Any other suggestions pertaining to my situation?

Thank you all for your replies.

Thanks for the replies sms & PSE. I'm located in Calgary, Canada and found a school offering quality certificate programs that may assist me in my pursuit. Not sure if it'll point me in the right direction. Here are the courses in the certificate program:

What do you guys think?

I just need to find some type of job to fund the certificate program.

The courses seem to relate back to the ASQ certificate programs, you might want to check through the ASQ link to see if they are actually related. I would not like to see anyone go through the expense of taking courses only to find out that they did not actually help much in terms of certification preparation.

Regards,
