Is there any way I can output thread milling setting the "Motion Output" to linear only, its a bugbear of mine that our company only allows this type of motion.

Thanks

Thanks John for reply,
The problem Im facing is that the way its set here is I need to use Edit-ToolPath-List and then save the toolpath as a text file and then use an external postprocessor.
Is there any way that it can be achieved so that I can output the toolpath a a text file with linear moves?

Thanks
Dennis

Why dont you use export- .cls? This is a legacy option for passing tool paths to a file for post processing outside of NX. As far as cutting the "thread" the other option would be to create a helix and use fixed contour and the curve drive method. The Thread mill operation does not have the option, that I can find, to output linear only.

Ive been using that option which works fine but its adding comp to the path that Ive had trouble with, I created "lead in" adding comp the as you say a fixed contour, but it cancels comp between the operations.
Id was just hoping that could get the NX thread mill to work within the restrictions that our Post puts on us without having to resort to the more long hand version.
Thanks John

Id left the thread milling alone this morning then whilst doing somethingrealised i can go into Toolpath - Edit and remove the remove Cutcom/off from the listing.
