Can anybody help me with some information on boiling of nitric acid. I am thinking of heating it off to close to 110 C or so to get rid of the nitric and water. I am thinking of using a vacuum firnace to boil off the nitric acid-water combination from metal parts. Does anyone have any experience with this, I would appreciate any problems that were encountered with the the system like scrubbers or vent line etc.

Can you better explain what you are trying to accomplish?
You don't just boil water from nitric acid?

Normally you would rinse nitric acid from parts and neutralize the rinse water or try to recover the acid which is very expensive.
