Threads & Layers Question

Greetings: I have noticed that when putting a threaded hole into a component, and that component is on a specific layer, IF the hole is not a thru hole, the thread arcs will remain on the layer that the component is on automatically; however, IF the hole is thru, the thread arcs to not remain on the layer the component is on and have to be moved to that layer. Is there a setting somewhere that controls where thread arcs go?

Thanks,

Brent

I'm using nx8.5 and when I move a component with threaded
holes no matter thru or not the threaded curves not
Move with the component.

Is the reason is the nx version. ?

I do not think it is the version. Our group uses 4 different version and all do the same thing. Curves do not move with the component. One thing we did discover is that if you put the threaded holes into a component on the work layer, and then move the component, the curves stay with it. However, if you create a component (body), and then add threaded holes later, the curves for the threaded holes have to be moved manually to the layer that the component is on because they remain on the work layer until moved.

I would still like to know if there is an option to keep threaded hole curves with the body or component you put them in without having to do it manually.

Thanks,

Brent
