Tie Annotation to Arc in Drafting

Is there a way to do this in NX7.5? Much like changing annotation angle, I'd like to have the text string follow an arc of specified radius with the option of the character angle changing to follow or stay horizontal. (I swear I have done this in UG before, but I am unable to find a way currently without spiltting the part number into individual characters-unexciting)

Example: scribing a part number on a end face of a round object where space is limited.

Try using the Geomtric Text function found at...

Insert -> Curves -> Text...

...and then select the 'On Curve' option under 'Type'.

It was developed so that people could ad 'text' elements to their models as actual features which could be edited and updated as TEXT and not just a collection of dumb curves which was the best that could be done in the past. Of course you can now use these curves to create solid bodies that can be added to models as either raised or embossed lettering.

This capability was first introduced with NX 3.0 and most recently with NX 7.5 we have enhanced it so that you can now link the 'text' in the feature to the value of an Expression (which also allows you to link it to an Attribute via the Expression system).
