Can anyone help with experiences using High Strength Friction Grip (HSFG) bolts?
Our sub-contractor is having difficulty reliably tightening HSFG bolts reliably after opting to use a calibrated torque wrench rather than load indicating washers.
Should there be a bit of lubricant on the thread or should the joint be dry?
Due to the working environment the bolts are sherardized.
Anyone got any practical experiences they can pass on?
