time to melt 1 ton ice 3

Hi,

I would like to know how much time is gonna take to melt 1 ton of ice in different kind of outside temperature. Is there any formula/reference/table I could learn from?. Assuming under normal pressuree ( 1 atm ) and no other heat source. Thank you.

Ok read most of the replies and I might have missed it but melting one ton of ice. ice melts at 0 C not exact but close enoug for my point. water needs X energy to increase tempreture by 1 C. 12000 BTU =1 tone of ice melting over y survac area. my point is simple what tempreture is the ice at.1 tone ice at 0.1 c might melt in 1 hour (z anbiant y area) but if your ice is at -12c it will in theory take 120 hours to melt the same amount of ice at z ambiant y area. am I missing something or was it just ice at 0.01C and I missed the info

CAFS, read the first response. Melting time isn't proportional to the temperature of the ice, if that helps.
