I am curious as to what sort of fan tip speed everyone typically limits their fans to in industrial applications.
Is there some sort of code I should be considering? Generally we pick our fans based on size, and unless the tip speed is incredibly high we do not take it into consideration. I have a customer now demanding that their fans have a tip speed of 5000fpm or less.
These fans are on a boiler high pressure steam boiler.
