I need a solution for my workshop. We fabricate Titanium spools and other exotic metals. I need to be able to minimise my employees exposure to the fumes and dusts created by cutting and grinding and how to clean/dispose of the dusts safely.
This is a couple years old but I think it still has a lot of revelance. I favored people with a lot of hard data in their sales presentaion.

You can start as I did with a simple fan and a metal stovepipe. This is very easy and cheap to install. The drawback is that it usually sucks a lot of warm air out during cold weather.

I don't know if already took care of titanium project but offer the following.
Two years ago I involved with selecting APC unit to control Titanium grinding process. We looked at both wet and dry APC systems to control process and decided on a wet system. We went wet because of dust temperature coming off 250 HP dry type grinder was about 22-2300 deg F and space allocated for control system was small.
The first control device installed was a low pressure wet collector/scrubber and pasted through submicro particulate from the start. Unit was sent back to vendor. The next step was to starting looking at wet ESP or high pressure drop scrubber to control sub micron particualte. We pilot operated a TRI-MER CCS cloud chamber scrubber and found it would handle submicron particulate and worked at about 1-2" of pressure.
