Hi,
Why does Pro/E sometimes not let you turn sketched lines into construction lines? On occasion when creating construction lines, I get a message that says; "converted entities still highlighted"......and presto! no construction lines. I end up having to use centerlines for construction - not always that convenient.
Any insights?

Thanks,

JW

I just created a hex with an inscribed circle that I toggled to construction which worked. I've never had a problem converting sketch geometry to construction. THe only thing I can think of is that you had two entities highlighted/picked at the same time. Cheers

A quicker way to change lines to construction is to use Ctrl+r instead of the right click menu (Works in 2001, I don't know whether it's carried over to Wildfire). I don't recall ever having a problem with changing lines to construction lines though. Hope you find the solution.

TTX,

Sometimes I've noticed that the lines do actually get converted to construction lines even though they don't seem to display as construction. At least this is how I've experienced it on 2001.

The best way to convert your lines to construction is to right click and Toggle construction after you sketch each line.

Just read my post... It should be ctrl + g to make construction lines. ctrl + r redraws the sketch while you're in sketcher mode. Sorry to anyone who tried making construction lines with ctrl + r [blush].

Thanks for the info guys....
I suppose that it could just be a bug with the build that we have however, I am fairly certain that (in my case) when the lines don't appear as construction - there not.

Thanks again,

JW

JW, or maybe with the graphic card. Do you have the last drivers?
