I have a spline with three grips in the shape of a curve. When I use offset I get a line that is completely full of grips. Can I get rid of all but three of the grips, so it is like the original, fit is not an option?
Thanks,
Ray2

You have to De-Spline the curve first.

Thanks for the help,
I take it that you mean explode it, I tried that and it won't explode, I made another spline and it would not explode either. Dynamite must be wet!

What I am doing is creating a curve with a sline, offset another line so that it makes a stripe, I then want to taper the ends to a point, but I can't taper the offset line for all the grips.(autoCad 2000) I will plot these out full size, transfer to the side of my bus, tape and spray paint.
Thanks,

Explode I meant not.
PLine
Draw it
PEdit the PLine
SPline it, grip edit it all you like
Before you manipulate it again in a way that creates tousands of grips, PEdit and DeSpline it,planing to PEdit and SPline it later.

From what you describe as your goal, I'd use PLine anyway. Start at zero thickness, use end thickness something greater. Create two points (get an arrowhead). Then change the width again and draw the rest of the PLine.

Thank you, Thank you,
That worked very well and I am happy with the results.
