Tool Bars - My Role

Greetings:

If you add buttons to a tool bar, how do you keep that button there for when you close a session and open a new session of UG? I work in NX11.

Make sure the "save layout at exit" option is turned on.

Cowski - When I went to the layout tab, the save layout at exit was turned on already. Is there another option that is not keeping the buttons that I'm adding during a session?

Check that your user.mtx hasn't been corrupted. I've seen that file get truncated, and the keyboard shortcuts would not be saved, so it may happen with the buttons (icons).

Also, save a role, so you can re-apply it, if needed, and get your icons back.

Also make sure you have write access to the location where your user.mtx file is stored.

I've noticed that even in NX11 and NX 12 you have to File-> Exit to get customizations to save, rather than just the X in the upper right corner
