TOOL LIST

I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO IMPORT A TOOL LIST FROM ONE .PRT FILE TO ANOTHER. I AM JUST TRYING TO MAKE A STANDARD TOOL LIST FOR MY NC TAPES. CAN ANYONE HELP???

I think this may give you what you’re after. You can export all of the tools whist in NX2 / Manufacturing by exporting the tool parameters. To do this go into shop documentation and within the list of choices, one of the items will export the tool parameters. This produces a text file of all the tools, this file can be added to the tool database file \mach\resource\library\tool\metric\tool_database file. It may need editing to conform with the latest features i.e. tool holding system parameters. (teamcentre engineering is slightly different). The next program you produce can use these tools from the library.
