Reposting this thread here in NX forum based John's suggestion.

We are planning to create a CAD database of standard tools[Wrenches, sockets, adapters etc.].

Have couple of questions.

Is ASME B107 stanadad followed by all the tool suppliers like Snap on,Norbar etc?

Can we get the External dimensions [such as OD of handle] for Impact wrenches, torque wrenches etc?

don't have access to ASME B107 documents.

And so that all of you can benefit from what I've already provided nithink[/], I've attached a pair of Part Family master template files which covers a full set of Socket and Combination (Open/Box End) wrenches based on SNAP-ON SAE (Imperial unit) tools.

Just for the record, those 'Tool' files were gifted to me several years ago by one of our customers for whom I can't recall his/her name.

That's the first I've heard of it. It's odd that their website makes a 'big deal' of this, yet there appears to be no way to order the CD. Also they call this a 'Wireframe Library' yet the pictures are obviously of 3D models (perhaps not solid, but definitely 3D). Maybe this is something that you have to ask your local Snap-on salesman about the next time he shows up in your parking lot in his nice shiny white van ;-)
