Hello,
Can anyone point me to any references which gives the calculation for torque generated in an induction disk type relay? I am aware of "very basic" expressions for the torque as in this link ( but I was wonder if there exists any reference which I can use to calculate the torque numbers (not just a basic expression).
Thanks!

What else do you need? For an α of 90 (or 270) degrees, torque is a maximum, so sin(α) becomes a 1 and drops out of the equation. Two currents and a frequency multiplied together is a pretty easy solution to arrive at.
