I am looking for some information on the minimum torque value for terminals that are used to hold lugs in place. In particular the information I am requesting is a plan to use Honeywell (Micro Switch) MS24524-27. They list the torque value for the lugs as 5in/lbs max. This value seems a little low as the lug can be easily twisted, resulting in the terminal screw backing off. The items are going into a land based personal carrier.
I am looking for any information on the following:
-What Mil spec specifies torque values for items like this (Honeywell has offered no assistance to the matter). In particular is there a general governing document for this.
-If it is listed as part of the MS24524-27 Spec, how/where can I obtain a copy of this.
-Any recommendations for a product to ensure that the terminal screws would be unable to back off.
