Howdy.

Working with B31.3 piping as well as fired and unfired boilers/vessels/exchangers on a SAGD site in N. Alberta

Can someone please direct me to where in the ASME codes is the stated interval for calibration.? I have always considered the maximum time between claibrations is 1 or sooner depending up service...just like to know where that is stated.

Thank you,

Stk

Having just re-read the entire section of our QMS pertaining to Inspection / Measuring & Test Equipment. No specified time schedule is noted. Only that this must be done at a "specified frequency". However said frequency is not in fact specified.

Im fully aware and have always used a yearly frequency unless a TQ wrench has become damaged or is suspected to be out of calibration. I was simply curious if this was an item that might be required by either Sect V, B31 series or API for that matter.
